WHAT ARE WE LEARNING?

1 B very busy learning many new things. 

In Math we started a unit in Geometry. We are identifying open and closed figures, and identifying the number of sides and corners (vertex or vertices) a shape has. We are sorting plane figures, we will make and take apart plane figures. We will move into solid figures right after.

In ELA we are learning about R-Controlled vowels and about many new vowel teams. We discussed how knowing these sounds will help us read and write many more words which is VERY EXCITING!

We will also be adding the suffixes -ing, and -ed to our words.

PLEASE REMIND YOUR CHILD TO WRITE THEIR NAME ON ALL HOMEWORK
