Objective:

Create a visual representation of how a character from Wonder grows and changes throughout the story. This journey map should highlight key events, emotions, and lessons learned.

Steps to Complete the Project:

1. Choose a Character

• Select a main or supporting character from Wonder (Auggie, Via, Jack Will, Summer, Julian, Justin, or Miranda).

2. Identify Key Moments

• Pick at least 5 major events that shape your character’s journey.

• These moments should show how the character changes, struggles, or learns important lessons.

3. Create Your Journey Map

• Draw a timeline, path, or road map that shows your character’s emotional and personal growth.

• Use arrows, symbols, or other creative visuals to show movement and change.

• Each key moment should include:

  • A brief description of what happened

  • The character’s emotions at that time

  • How this event impacted the character’s growth

4. Add Visuals & Creativity

• Use colors, drawings, symbols, or printed images to make your map visually engaging.

• Consider adding speech bubbles, thought bubbles, or emojis to represent emotions.

5. Write a Reflection

• Describe using text evidence your character’s journey throughout the book. Explain how your character changed from the beginning to the end of the book.

• Discuss what lesson the character learned and how they grew.
